Eyes open or closed during sitting meditating?

Do you ever wonder what to do with the eyes during sitting practices?

The eyes take in a lot of visual information. Many people find it easier to let go of visual input by having the eyes closed—this allows them turn inward more easily.

However, sometimes it may feel uncomfortable to close the eyes, or perhaps not practical. Other times you may feel too sleepy if the eyes are closed. In these instances, you may want to keep the eyes open. It may help to keep the eyelids lowered with a soft gaze a few feet ahead of you.

Try experimenting with the eyes open and closed for sitting meditation and see what happens!
